Fabulous introduction to sewing, from the basics to different techniques you can then experiment with, with confidence. The classes are expertly run. Arlie is an absolute gem; patient, experienced, fun, knowledgeable - an all-round excellent teacher.
More than anything these classes gave me the confidence to "just start". Honestly the class progression is so well thought out and you walk away kind of shocked at how much you've learnt in such a short time.
Only comments are:
- Update the instruction book with measurements, S/A specifics for each part. Helpful for beginners who second guess everything!
- Patterns provided should cater for beginners in mind ie. measurements for simple patterns, notes on scale etc. This ensures skills can be practised outside of class.
All in all, 100% recommend. A fun, interesting, creative, useful way to spend a few hours a week!
Absolutely LOVED this class! I don’t often go far out of the comfort zone so trying something new was a big deal, and it couldn’t have gone better. The other students were lovely, and Arley was just the best! She was so patient and knowledgeable, I’m sad it’s over! Highly recommend to anyone, especially those like me who hadn’t touched a sewing machine since year 9 textiles. Will definitely be back!
