This class was everything I was hoping for. It was very nicely balanced between structured and student led allowing individual overlockers and project needs to be addressed. Danielle has a very clear way of explaining instructions and was generous with her time and patience. It was a lovely atmosphere to have a refresher and I have a better understanding of my overlockers capabilities and limitations. Thank you.

Very chuffed I can now use an old overlocker I've inherited. Danielle has a gift in teaching - she's kind, easy going and patient and very clear in her hands on instructions.

Absolutely loved this class about identifying and understanding fabrics. The intimate class was presented on a a roundtable and we had documents to take home. The information I learnt helped me to understand different types of fibres and weaves but also that I like a particular type of silk which I never knew the name of. Invaluable.

I learnt things which I had not known previously

I attended the beginner overlocker threading class on Saturday the 7th. I went in feeling nervous as I hadn’t even taken my machine out of the box yet. There were only four people in the class, which was great. The teacher was so lovely and happy to answer all questions (and I had a lot!). Nothing was too much trouble. By the end of the 2½-hour class I felt confident and ready to start sewing. I’d definitely recommend this class and will be booking another one.” ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I had such a fantastic experience at the Identify & Understand Fabrics workshop! It was incredibly rich with detail and knowledge, and I learned so much more than I expected. Arlie (the teacher) was deeply knowledgeable and genuinely enthusiastic, which made the whole session engaging and enjoyable. The resources and handouts were comprehensive, informative and thoughtfully put together. I’d absolutely recommend this workshop to anyone interested in sewing or textiles!

I learnt so much in this workshop! Danielle taught me how to properly read commercial patterns (which have always confused me!), how to choose the right size for my body, and even how to adjust my pattern after I accidentally cut out the wrong size at home. She shared so many practical tips on laying out pattern pieces, and they were incredibly valuable for me as a budding sewer. Danielle spent a lot of time guiding me through each step and even helped decipher the confusing sewing instructions so I know exactly what to do next :D I’ll definitely be back whenever I’m tackling a pattern I’m unfamiliar with!

Fantastic workshop! While I have owned and used my overlocker over the last 3-4 years, I didn't feel confident. I learnt many great tips for getting the most out of my overlocker and also giving me more confidence to use it more often.
