The class was run at a good pace and we had time lots of time to discuss and work through our patterns. Arlie is a great teacher - really patient, knowledgeable and helpful.

I loved this class. I've been trying to find time to book in to it for the last couple of years but my schedule didn't allow. I found it so great to learn how patterns get drafted from an existing item and I'm excited now I have two garment patterns I can try making! Sometimes the sewing maths confuses me, I found understanding dart drafting tricky but luckily Arlie was there to help whenever I got stuck and thank goodness she's very patient. She made the learning process very easy. I'm already looking at getting my own set of pattern drafting rulers so I can try to copy more of my favourite items in my wardrobe. Highly recommend this class.

Highly recommend this course to anyone who is interested in learning about pattern-making and wants to replicate something of their own. The class was easily adapted to different skill levels, and with the small class size, there was plenty of assistance from the teacher. Very relaxing and rewarding! Highly recommend. :)

I wasn't sure if I was up to this level in my sewing journey but Arly was extremely patient and thorough with her step by step instructions and clear demonstration. I made a pattern for 2 dresses, made a mockup in between classes and learnt how to make my own bias binding for a perfect neckline! I'll be coming back again for sure!

This class is so inspiring, being able to recreate my favourite dress, getting the pattern to remake as many times as i would like, on the second day even time to recreate another dress. Airley has a lot of enthousiasm for everbody and not issue is insurmountable to her. Great teaching , i left with a lot of tools in my sewing tool kit, can recommend this class to any sewing enthousiast Maria Brouwers

I learned how to turn a 3d garment into flat paper, make a toile, make modifications to the pattern based on the toile fitting, and if that's not enough there were plenty of other intricate tricks I learned, like how to draft and attach a zipper fly, and make pockets. The teacher and the rest of the students were incredibly friendly.

Great short course! I learnt how to create a pattern from an existing item of clothing - I made a shirt. Thread Den a great space to learn handy sewing skills.

This course was excellent. Amy and Ali are so knowledgeable and help ful explaining the steps and individualising solutions. Highly recommend and look forward to doing additional classes to expand my sewing knowledge.
